Born and raised in the northern suburbs of Chicago, Tina's dance journey began at age four. Moving to Kansas as a teenager, she competitively danced from 12-20 years of age. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in Theatre and Performance, and is currently studying at the University of Kansas Medical Center for a masters degree in Dietetics and Nutrition Science.

Tina is trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Jazz-Funk, Musical Theatre, Heels, and Hip Hop. She danced for Avila Dance Team in college and AIM/Point B Professional Training Dance Company from age 18-23, helping to expand herself as a choreographer, professional dancer, and dance instructor. She has taught classes in Lawrence at Point B Dance Studio and DancEHues, as well as in the Kansas City area at both Dancerz Unlimited and The Kansas City Ballet.   She is currently assisting in developing a project as a co-founder, choreographer, and performer of Illuminate Dance Collective, a collaborative performance group based out of Kansas City, with Hannah Lareau and Tara Burgat.

“When I am choreographing and teaching a class, I like to create an arena in which the dancers can be driven, electrifying, intensified, and challenged. I want to draw every drop of technique with every ounce of raw self and emotion.”
